All of us at ARF are happy to report that yesterday's evacuation from the floodwaters was very successful!  All of the dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, and the pot-bellied pig that call ARF their temporary home are all in warm safe places.  No one was injured during the storm Sunday Night through Monday Morning or during the evacuation effort.

Today the sun is out and thankfully the floodwater is receding.  In fact, the rate that the water is retreating has exceeded our expectations and today we will begin to assess the damage to the facilities and begin to clean up the ARF Campus.  If you want to help in the clean-up effort, please feel free to come by during normal business hours.  As we get a better assessment of the situation, we are planning on organizing a "Community Volunteer Clean-Up Day" at ARF.  Please stay tuned for specific day and time details in the near future.

We can't tell you how thankful we are for the tremendous support we received yesterday!  We've received numerous bags of dog food, cat food, and bedding at our drop-off sites.  Additionally, we have received calls from many people interested in providing foster care for our displaced animals.  At this time, we are thrilled to say that we have more than enough volunteers to provide foster homes until we are able to move everyone back to the ARF Campus!  We want to take this time to thank the following organizations for helping us yesterday and in the days to come:
