Weekend Flood Recovery Update!!

Sunday, March 6, 2011

We are happy to report that ARF survived the second round of heavy rain without any further significant damage!  Our staff and volunteers continued their clean-up and repair efforts while ensuring that donated supplies were moved to safer storage sites.  As we prepared for the second round of rain on Friday and Saturday, sandbags were filled and delivered to the ARF Campus.

PetSmart Charities sent a truck that delivered an array of needed supplies while Wasson Nursery provided a safe and dry location to store them.  All of us at ARF are very thankful for the help these two organizations have provided to us in a very difficult time.

All of our animals continue to receive great care from their foster families.  In fact, Toby, Prince, and Abner are going to be adopted by their foster homes!  We are thrilled for the three of them and their new families!!

The flood damage to our onsite storage sheds have us looking for solutions for on-campus storage.  Our biggest needs at this point continue to be cleaning supplies, yard tools to help in the clean-up effort (shovels, rakes, etc. etc.), and monetary donations which can be made through the website by clicking here.

All of us at ARF are eternally grateful for everyone's support, thoughts, and prayers!
