Sweet Basil is a super sweet and very timid dog. She recently had a litter of puppies that have all been adopted. Sweet Basil is a 3 yr old Blue Healer. A Privacy fence for this girl as she can jump high. Sweet Basil is still very scared of people. It will take some work for her to get comfortable with her family. We feel Basil needs a quiet environment and lots of patience from her family. She tends to want to hide from new people but we feel this too can be overcome with the right family.
Moo is a very timid Collie/Border Collie/Pointer Mix. He weighs about 53 pounds and he does shy from new people but warms up very quickly. Previous owners moved to apartment and Moo needs room to run freely. He is somewhat of an escape artist so he will required a fenced yard. Moo is potty trained and walks with harness and leash but does require a little getting used to time with new people. He has not been living with other animals but has not shown aggression when seeing other dogs. His adopter will need to spend one on one time with him to get him comfortable with his new home. Moo is a very sweet boy and he is looking for his forever family. He does like to lay close and that seems to make him feel comfortable. Please apply for this sweet boy at munciearf.com and make an appointment to meet him.
Gidget is a very playful, loving little girl. She loves her toys, loves to walk (does really well on harness and leash), loves to snuggle and definitely loves her treats. She would be great with a family with older children as she is very active. Gidget would also be fine with a person or persons that are home a lot or retired. She is Potty trained to use her outdoor kennel. She iw a Boxer Chihuahua mix. She weighs just a little over 20 pounds. Gidget is intimidated by other dogs so she would do well as the only dog in the home.
Gus and Bodie- must go together
Toppa is a 16 week old 27 pound yellow Labrador Retriever). We expect her to weigh 80-90 pounds possibly more when she is full grown! Toppa was surrendered due to another dog in the home being aggressive towards her, resulting in two emergency vet visits. One resulting in a jaw alignment. Toppa is spayed, microchipped, has had 3 rounds of puppy shots, dewormed, received a rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine and is current on flea and heartworm meds. Toppa's adoption fee is $450 which includes all medical care up to this point. If interested apply at munciearf.com.
An ideal home would be with an adopter who has lab experience and who even has access to water since labs absolutely love water! We would like a home that has plenty of time to train and give Toppa the exercise she needs to be a happy go lucky pup!
Bodie is an absolute darling 5 yr old Shih Tzu. He is as sweet as he looks and is bonded with Gus. Gus is his pal and they can't be separated. Bodie loves to run and play. He is potty trained and loves to walk. He does really well on leash and harness. Gus is a 2 year old pit bull terrier. These two have been together since Gus was born and they are definitely bonded pals and can't be separated. Gus has a very sweet temperament. Privacy fence would be ideal for these two since they love to run and play together.
Scout is a beagle- an sixty eight lb. beagle. Yes, you read that right. When scout arrived, we suspected immediately that his weight was not just caused by being over fed- he had classic symptoms of an under active thyroid. Bloodwork reveals that he does have low thyroid- but luckily the medication is very inexpensive! Scout is on medicine morning and night, and our vet has him on a weight loss plan and wants to see him get down to under forty pounds. We are hoping that there may be an adopter out there- maybe someone with extra time this summer- who would be able to provide scout with a lot of short, frequent walks (and while it’s super hot out, indoor activity or super early or late evening walks), and strict twice daily feedings, and maybe some green beans throughout the day as a low calorie treat. Scout is 6 years old, very nice, was very good at the vet for his blood draw, he’s up to date on shots, and hw negative. His adoption fee is $200- however, we will include medication and bloodwork to get his thyroid under control, and then an additional 2 months of meds after it’s controlled!
Dog meetings are only by appointment. Put in an application on this site. If approved, the adoption coordinator will set up meetings. Thank you!
